You know... I haven’t wanted to post anything recycling or waste related lately.
But nature sure did just open one helluva big can of whoop ass didn’t it!!
Spending time at home, I have thought about how this giant crisis upon us, this massive upheaval of our lives and businesses - really is all related... Mother Nature, Human Nature, and the Nature of Business.
Mother Nature: our planet 🌏, the seasons, the climate, the resources she provides us, all animals great and small.
Human Nature: our behaviour, our lifestyle, our comforts and convenience, the waste we create, the space we need to live, the resources we consume and dispose.
Nature of Business: the space we need to do business, the impact our business operations create on our environment, the waste we create, the currency of taking, making, selling, consuming and disposing of resources.
The land we clear for business, manufacturing, agriculture and mining is devastating the natural habitats of many creatures and organisms.
These animals (and the diseases they carry) are losing their homes, ecosystems are ruined, food sources are scarce, and these wild animals are becoming much closer to our human communities.
These animals are hungry, they may be feeding off toxic wastes running off into surface and ground water (think synthetic chemicals, fertilisers, gmo crops, nuclear waste) just to name a few.
Now our behaviours (Human Nature) has effected our climate and all living creatures (Mother Nature) and this virus has devastated our lifestyle and the world markets (Nature of Business). These things are intrinsically linked, and I will continue to try to share my knowledge with you, in the hope to make a difference.
Now I have some time on my hands, I’d like to develop some free resources to put on my website for you to download while my workshops are on hold during these scary times. Stay tuned. Stay safe.
