"Let’s back up to the year 2019, I honestly thought I wouldn’t make it through the year- this is not an exaggeration. I was dealing with so many health issues-- thyroid, abdominal, sleep—you name it! My anxiety and depression were extremely off the charts and I was living in a daily vicious cycle. In the beginning of January 2020, I had some friends who mentioned that I should try Burn Boot Camp. I thought to myself, “Um…no thanks! Nothing sounds appealing about ‘boot camp’.” After all I’ve been through, I was sure to have a heart attack in that kind of place. So, I started slow and went to a local gym. However, I wasn’t pushing myself so it wasn’t doing much for me. Finally, on a whim, I drove myself to Burn Boot Camp in Newnan, Georgia. I had no clue what I was walking into. I literally walked in with my head swooning trying to fight a panic attack. I remember the lady at the front desk was like “Ok, are you ready to work out today?” “Um… I guess.” Fast forward to 5 months later, I have lost over 20lbs, many inches, and my clothes fit great! I have energy and confidence. However, more than all of the weight that I’ve lost, Burn Boot Camp has done more for my mental health than anything. My anxiety and depression were overwhelming; but working out at Burn with trainers and a community of men and women who uplift one another is exactly what I needed. My family notices the difference in my body, abilities, and my energy level. I’m so glad I took a chance and joined Burn, it is one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself."
