Fat Loss doesn’t always equal Weight Loss. Weight loss in general can certainly be a by-product of Fat Loss but the two aren’t the same ❌
Mentally, it can be a little deflating when you’ve nailed everything during the week to only be the same weight or even a slightly higher weight than the previous 😞
Now, although I certainly understand why you may feel that way, it’s not the whole story & I’m letting you know that it shouldn’t be a cause for panic.
We need to be reminded sometimes that up to 60% of our total body mass is actually water. This means fluctuating levels of fluids within our bodies account for a LARGE portion of our weight fluctuations on a daily basis.
Things that affect fluid balance include Exercise, Electrolyte Balance, Hydration, Food Volume & Timing (depending on when you weigh) & Monthlies for the ladies.
Ultimately, measuring a plethora of different metrics (such as skin folds, average body weight, photos & waist measurements) will give you a better overall picture. If 2/3 metrics reflect the result you’re after, you’re likely heading in the right direction.
Your body weight can actually fluctuate anywhere from 100g to 2kg over the day. So control as many variables as possible to ensure accuracy & don’t freak out if there is no change in a week, it doesn’t mean you haven’t progressed 👊🏻
