Immune Boosting Green Smoothie
Happy Sunday y'all! Hope you're staying healthy and safe. In times like these it's important to take care of our health; mind body and soul, and a big part of that is what we put in our bodies. Someone asked me to share more immune boosting, healthy recipes so I decided to share this quick & easy smoothie recipe. If you struggle to get all your greens and nutrients from food, these quick smoothie drinks are a perfect alternative.
The combinations of ingredients are endless but I picked these ingredients specifically for their effectiveness and immunity boosting properties.
Here's the quick recipe & ingredients: -1 cup baby spinach
-3 slices of pineapple
-1/2 grapefruit (peel off white skin)
-1.5 inch piece of fresh ginger (grated)
-1/2 tsp tumeric
- 1/2 cup of water ( you can use almond milk, coconut milk or orange juice)
-1/2 cup crushed ice
-Optional: sweeten with stevia, brown sugar or honey if you prefer less tart smoothies
Blend above ingredients together, ET VOILA... pour in a tall glass & enjoy! 😊
Spinach is packed such a super food, packed with vitamins ( A, C & K) as well ss essential minerals like iron and magnesium & vitamin B12.
Turmeric has curcumin which is a natural antiinflamatory & antioxidant, helps prevent heart disease & cancer.
Ginger is a miracle food, has so many medixinal benefits, antiinflamatory, antioxidant, helps relieve common flu symptoms, nausea and many more.
