Fizzy stuff isn't really my thing. That said fizz was listed (sparking wine) as part of this Dirty Dick's Mango and Passionfruit Bellini, so I bought a bottle and followed instruction; I'm not a cocktail maker, but I'll happily learn. My reaction? Shit me - this is pretty damn good! I'm already thinking about which non rum drinking friends (okay, most of the have now dabbled in to a few category introductions) would enjoy this. Equally as exiting - this uses Rhum Damoiseu, a rhum-agricole based liqueur (30%), Mangue Passion, which has mascerated mango and passionfruit in the bottle itself: a different way for me to dabble in the broader category.
Well... An unexpected one for me - I'd recommend giving this a whirl...!
☆The Mango and Passionfruit Bellini, (Dirty Dick)
- 50ml Rhum Damoiseu Mango and Passionfruit Arranges
- 100ml Sparkling Wine
- I stirred this over ice and popped kn a glass I'd very lightly chilled, strained, poured in and added back in the passionfruit (because, well... I like it).
NOTE: I think on the video call, they actually used 30ml Damoiseu, and a 1:2 ratio Arranges to Sparkling #wine... the above was listed in the Euro Rum Fest guide and a good mix for my glass size).
