Primary 5Y Maryhill Convent School, Idi-Ape, Ibadan in 1983.
I guess you can find me 😊.
Low cut geng 😊.
So proud of this school.
I returned to it 36 years later in January this year and met everything intact.
Just like I left it in 1984.
The Iroko tree we played around and told stories under in the school field when we were children was still there.
It inspired the character in my Tejumade story I wrote 10 years after I left the school.
The power of nature.
This school had it in abundance.
Trees, Rocks, Flowers, Hedges, Sand..
It was in the school garden I saw a chameleon for the first and only time in my life in primary 3 or so and NEVER forgot the experience..
Maryhill Convent School is indeed a great institution.
Forever grateful to my parents for sending me to this amazing Catholic school 🙏!
