Third way: Reduce the toxicity.
How many times in the last three months have you wished to skip 2020? But what if 2020 is the year that we've been waiting for? A year so uncomfortable, so painful and so raw that it forces us to grow. A year that screams of bad news every time you wake up that we finally wake up from our ignorant slumber. To be candid, I have had my fair share of breakdowns too but shouldn't it be my responsibility to stand up and identify what makes me better and what doesn't?
Now, we have probably heard the saying that we are the average of the 5 people we surround ourselves with.
Think of it practically now.
When you have almost everyone you know doing a specific thing, you mostly want to do it too - maybe because of the FOMO or maybe you liked that. Now, that specific thing can either be gossiping or even hitting the gym. But eventually, it was directly or indirectly led to you through your peers.
In the end, deep down I feel we all know why we do anything. It may be because we want to fit in, maybe we want to look good, maybe we just want to help but to do all that, we do need to figure out a way to eliminate those toxic things out of life.
