💫 Morning Practice 💫
As a mama of two tiny humans (1 & 2) and an introvert, I have learned that carving out time for myself before my babies wake makes an incredible difference for the remainder of my day. I call it my '✨ centering practice✨', a time where I get to have unapologetic personal time to get my mindset right for the day ahead. A time to fill my cup before I am everything, to everyone.
So how does this look?
☕️ It always begins with coffee. Or tea...something hot ☺️. I wake up at 530am, a couple hours before my kids.
📓 Journal :: I get out my notebook and write what is going on in my life and how I feel about it. If I'm struggling with something, I think about the advice someone I trust would give me; in my case, I think about what my Mom would tell me (she's now only here in spirit 🤍). I write what I am grateful for, a schedule for the day, to do lists, a brain dump, anything to that gets my thoughts out on paper.
✨ Review your goals and vision :: Reading my goals each morning helps remind me what I'm working towards.
🧘🏻♀️ Visualize the best version of your day. I envision everything working out perfectly throughout my day and I try to feel how it will feel to have that happen. Generally, that means, feeling happy, gratitude and relief.
📚 Read :: 10 minutes of non-fiction reading. Today I chose to start @highperformancehabits by @brendonburchard
🏋🏻♀️ Move your body.
