Maida papdi recipe!!
*All purpose flour OR Maida (2 cups)
*Oil (1/4 cup)
*Carom Seeds OR Ajwain (1/2 tsp, crushed)
*Salt (1 tsp)
*Water (as required)
*Take a bowl and add the all purpose flour, oil, carom seeds, salt and oil to it and mix everything together.
*Now, keep on adding water in samll portions in the bowl to make a tight dough.
*After kneading the dough, keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
*Then take the dough and make small lumps from it.
*Roll the dough 'thinly' to make rounds of 2 to 2.5 inch diameter.
*Heat oil in a pan to deep fry the papadi.
*When the oil gets hot, add the rolled papadis in the oil and fry them till they get golden brown from both sides. Keep flipping the papadis while frying them.
*After frying, take them out on a napkin or a kitchen towel to get rid of the excess oil.
*The papadis are ready to be served. Serve them with tea or you can serve them with imli chutney.
