⠀ Got flour? ⠀ Maybe you don’t, but if you do these 2 ingredient bagels should be on your baking list! ⠀ I’ve posted this recipe (which apparently originates from weight watchers!) on my page last year and they were a massive hit! You can use this recipe to make pizza bases, cinnamon scrolls (featured previously on my page) and many other delicious baked goods 🍕 ⠀ ⠀ If you are skeptical at first...I don’t blame you. However I promise you if you follow the instructions these bagels will not disappoint. They are light, soft and chewy with a slight tangy taste (sorta like sourdough bread) ⠀ INGREDIENTS 1 cup @yoproau plain yoghurt (it MUST be fat free yoghurt otherwise the dough won’t form properly) 1 cup regular or gluten free self-rising flour (white or wholemeal) and extra for dusting onto surface/hands ⠀ If you don’t have self rising flour you can make your own using; 1 cup flour + 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder & 1/4 teaspoon salt). ⠀ TOPPINGS Egg, beaten (optional) Seasoning of choice (sesame seeds and/or poppy seeds or everything but the bagel, bagel seasoning blend from Trader Joe's) ⠀ ⠀ METHOD 1)Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a tray with baking paper 2)In a large bowl combine the self rising flour and YoPRO yoghurt until a dough starts to form (the dough will be crumbly) 3)Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until dough forms. Divide dough into 4 equal parts. 4)Roll out the dough to form a ‘ rope’ and pinch the ends together to make a circle. You will have 4 bagels. 5)Brush the bagels with egg (optional) and and sprinkle with your preferred seasoning. 6)Bake for 15-20 minutes ⠀ Tag a bagel lover 🥯 to share this recipe and tag @thesavvydietitian in your creation 🥰 I loved seeing them last time!
