We are a grassroots effort aiming to provide critical relief and engage in mutual aid practices with the most vulnerable in our community. This is an autonomous mutual aid network, not a state-based charity effort. We are prioritizing and building momentum with folks who are sick, disabled, quarantined without income, economically disadvantaged, elderly, undocumented, queer, incarcerated, detained, Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color, or who have families in need.
We are apart of a Chicago city-wide and national network of mutual aid groups. We are here to bring urgent relief to those being effected by the pandemic and to also use this moment as a spring board to set up sustainable, long-term, autonomous mutual aid infrastructure in our communities. 🔥🔥 If you or anyone you know needs any kind of support in Edgewater please fill out our support form LINK IN BIO. 🔥🔥
If you live in a different neighborhood in Chicago or need the form in a different language, message us and we’ll send you the appropriate forms. 🔥🔥 #mutualaid #rentstrike #edgewaterchicago
