This week I received a package I was eagerly waiting for, and that arrived with perfect timing, just before black moon. In the box was this gorgeous handmade statue of the goddess Hel, manufactured by @woodcarvingmaster a.k.a. Blagowood on Etsy (check out my story for a direct link).
I don’t use many statues on my altars, but this one I immediately fell in love with, because of her resemblance with The Bone Hag, one of the nine demons of my tradition. The details of this piece of art are so delicate and pretty (swipe left to see a close-up) and the wood is of high quality, in a warm brown color. True craftsmanship!. So, this girl is definitely prepared to adorn my altar for many years to come.
I must admit that there are some more wooden items of this artist on my wish list. For instance the crow skulls (if you love crows , you should definitely take a look at these), the cat and goat pendants and the most beautiful Gaia statue I’ve ever seen. I don’t work with Celtic or Nordic deities, otherwise my list would be even longer.
Anyways, today, after sunset, I will do a black moon ritual with the Bone Hag. I wonder how this will go, because I’m pretty tired today. Still, my experience is that, when I’m this tired, wonderful things can happen when I do demonic rituals. As if I’m open to them in a different way, which triggers different experiences.
Wishing you a wonderful black moon! If you’re up to something special, I would love to hear about it.
