As Northern Ireland, as a community, continues to fight back against #covid19 , UUSU wants to take this opportunity to acknowledge our students who are on the frontline, providing invaluable support where and, when it is needed most.
You are heroes and we are so incredibly proud of you and all you have done, and are continuing to do. And we want to share your stories. Whether you’re volunteering by delivering food and essentials items to the vulnerable, volunteering with charities and organisations providing a range of community support, crafting in your free time to make masks and scrubs or working in any hospital, care home, frontline or healthcare setting right now, we want to hear from you.
So, to mark the National Volunteers Week (1st-7th June) and National Carers Week (8th – 14th June) we want you to send us your photos and a short piece on how you have been doing your bit during the lockdown and, over the next fortnight, we will be sharing your stories, spreading hope and positivity and bringing the UUSU family closer together.
Please also contact us if you know someone on the frontline in the fight against #covid19.
