This is what my schedule has reduced to. Two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute break… to the dot.
Long story short, this has come as a blessing in disguise. I’ve become an expert in #trends , in #workplace environment, in #companyculture , in #employee relations, in employee #treatment , in employee #interactions and employee #experience. I’ve learnt how to read people, to anticipate their needs, and to have them happy with what I do. I try to #vujádè on a daily basis, just to keep myself sane, as just because you never know what comes next.
A year ago, to the date, I found myself reading and hearing (only) about #teleperformance , a huge #bpo company also known as a huge #callcenter. They launched a massive communication strategy through radio, TV, and social media, trying to recruit bilingual employees.
For a sometime, even when I was out of job, I refused to let myself consider Teleperformance as option as I am, after all, a (highly) communication specialist (that is my job title). I ended up joining the company with two goals. First, to advance and practice my English both written and spoken, and to grow within the company.
The first goal was promptly achieved… it took me about 4 months to hit target… after that is was a piece of cake. As for the second one, there was a surprise I did not see coming. Around mid-January 2020, I was to become a supervisor. I was also to start a Master degree in #entrepreneurship and #innovation , which I did. Since there is nothing written in stone, January passed by and it turned out that my schedule (I needed three days off per month), did not fit with the campaign’s needs; therefore, I was to stay an agent until the end of my year and a half master.
Long story short, I stated to look for #opportunities that allow me to grow and study at the same time. I had one foot inside another company until #covid -19 came along… they ended up terminating 6 others so, no, I didn’t get the new job.
