I tried the Shan Pakora/Bhajia Mix this week and I was so impressed with how homemade it tastes! 🥳 Have you tried this mix before? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! To be honest, making bhajia or any of these Indian snacks really intimidate me. I feel like our moms just throw in random ingredients without any measurements, but it always tastes SO good. This Pakora/Bhajia Mix comes with all of the spices already in there, so all you have to do is add water and mix. I decided to make 2 different kinds!
1️⃣ Brussel Sprout, Onion & Thai Chili “Fritters”
We had a huge bag of brussel sprouts sitting in our fridge for weeks, and I really wanted to make something to use them up. My mom typically adds some sort of spinach or methi, so I thought that shredded brussel sprouts would be a great alternative 🙌
2️⃣ Shishito Pepper Bhajia
Instead of doing the typical potato slices or long chili’s dipped in the batter, I decided to use shishito peppers stuffed with ground caraway and salt. I love a GOOD shishto pepper if it’s cooked right, and I’m sorry, but deep frying them in this mix was just 1000x better 💯💯
It’s not every day that most of us eat these deep fried foods, so when you do make them, I highly encourage you to get creative! Since the Shan Pakora/Bhajia Mix is already seasoned, it gives you a pass on making the batter, so can get right to chopping any veggies of your choice 😊 #shanfoodsglobal #shanveg #imadeitwithshan #easyrecipes #tasteslikehome #homemade #shanvegrecipe
