AVAILABLE - 1935 EAGLE TEA COMPANY - UNION, NEW JERSEY - Beautiful antique cabinet photograph of the Eagle Tea Company in Union, NJ, dated 1935. Great composition, sharp focus and good depth of field enable us to see the wide variety of products offered in this small shop, including: Salada Tea, Sunshine Biscuits, Cocomalt, Bisquick, Mrs. Wagner’s Pies, Royal Baking Powder, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Comet Brown Rice Flakes and many more. The people in the photograph are identified on the verso: Mike Marks, E.R. Brown and Ray V. Dexheimer. I’m always fascinated by storefronts and store interiors. They give us an understanding of how we eat, drink, spend money, design, advertise, and attract. I have more photographs of this type that I’ll be adding soon. Board is in very good condition with some foxing and photograph is in excellent condition. Great identified view of an early 20th century shop!
