The trials of this #machine age has provoked a lot of questions in me. While I get satisfactory answers for some, the rest are struggling with all their #strengths to get nothing but the right answers.
Are our lives merrier than those of our forefathers? Are we more fortunate, living in the #age of #technology ? Or did we get anything wrong in the quest of making things easier using technology?
I endlessly stare at, and envy the lifestyle of tranquility enjoyed by our predecessors. Then, they had horses, camels and donkeys that bray almost only at milestones of the #journey. #today , we have it all, the #airlines , the rail, the road transport, all with incessant _braying_ (in their honk, hoot and whooshes). Manufacturing back then was not on a large scale but settlements were peaceful. Are the deafening noises we get today from manufacturing #industries the dividends we will enjoy from technology?
The #entertainment industry of the ancient time were educative and productive. Ranging from moonlight stories, #folksongs to folktales. We have today, all sorts of music with their blaring beats, the disco #club. We party and part with fatigue and disturbed eardrum. Where did we get it all wrong?#noise_pollution impacts millions of people on a daily basis. The most common health problem it causes is Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL). Exposure to loud #noise can also cause high blood pressure, #heart #disease , sleep disturbances, and #stress.
The cities are in pain, noise pollution (do you call it sound #pollution or #environmental noise in your own context) can be reduced effectively in our cities.
If it's just by reducing the decibel of that MUSIC now!, please start by taking an action against noise pollution.@greenjanitors @edenworld @climateactiongroupng #climatechange #climatechangeisreal #globalwarming #empower #education #educationmatters #climatestrike #environmentalconservation
