We are now offering COVID-19 antibody testing to our patients & members of the community *by appointment* Monday through Friday. This testing is conducted via a simple finger stick blood test and results are available the same day.
This is NOT the same as testing with a deep nasal swab to detect the presence of the COVID viral RNA. The new antibody test instead detects the body’s antibody response to the presence of the virus – specifically, IgG (past infection) and IgM (acute infection) antibodies.
WHO SHOULD CONSIDER COVID-19 ANTIBODY TESTING?
🔹Healthcare workers and those who live with them
🔹Other individuals on the front lines who are likely to be exposed, including police, fire, EMT
🔹Those who are currently sick and have not yet been tested
🔹Anyone (over the age of 16) who wants to know if they have had COVID-19 already (for example, if you had symptoms prior to testing capabilities, or if you are asymptomatic but know you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19)
We understand you have many questions, which we’ve done our best to anticipate and answer on our dedicated COVID-19 page (link in bio). It also includes videos from Dr. Larkin and a link to our antibody testing-specific FAQs.
Please review this information and join Dr. Larkin at both 3PM and 8PM on Facebook Live TODAY (Wednesday, April 8) where she will be available to answer your questions in real time.
Again, testing is by appointment ONLY and you must pre-pay by phone. If you would like to schedule, please call the office at 513.760.5511 (then press option 1 or 2) and let them know you are calling to schedule COVID19 antibody testing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We really appreciate you, when possible, taking the time to read the information we’ve provided on our website. The more we cover the basics in advance, the deeper we can get with Dr. Larkin during the daily interactive conversations on Facebook Live! Remember, Dr. Larkin has also added an additional Facebook Live session at 8PM ET today to help, so get those questions ready.
