Men feel the same way too.
It also includes looking at celebrities. Just because it’s highly unlikely you’ll leave your spouse for a super star doesn’t mean it’s acceptable to lust after them or constantly look at provocative photos or videos.
Much of what is going on in the media from music videos, social media, tv shows & magazine spreads is soft porn. Yes, I said it. The only thing is missing is actual penetration but it leads you right up to the line. Porn is too harsh of a term, especially for “Christians” that love secular artists, so they call it entertainment. That’s a nice cover which is more acceptable main stream. Now it can be played on regular TV instead of XXX so their reach is larger audience and people don’t have to hide it like back in the day.
In the entertainment industry sex sells. Why do you think you see half naked people selling burgers for Hardee’s?! Because if you can arouse someone, their body will release a hormone called “dopamine.” Get it, dope! It’s basically a new form of drugs that will make you spend money on downloads, concerts, outfits, cars, etc. It’s bait to lure you into some sort of fantasy that provides a temporary escape from your current life issues.
Even worse is it can cause intimacy and connection issues in your marriage. For example, there are some people that are so addicted, they can’t be aroused by their spouse alone, they have to watch that first.
Don’t get caught in this trap and if you are, get some help.
