I was reading thru my daughters Senior yearbook, and I couldn't help but feel sad for her class. The year started with their Senior picnic that was rained out in a crazy thunderstorm. Followed by the homecoming game & dance being postponed due to the fires. They made it thru December just to come into this pandemic. Prom should've been May 23rd, graduation should be June 5th. But none of this will happen for them. They have truly missed out on IMPORTANT life memories that stay with you for years.
Driving thru a car line to drop off her books & pick up a yearbook, as her last day on campus without being able to see one friend or hug one teacher good bye was heart wrenching. There will be no friends giving well wishes and signing their last yearbook, as they did in 9th grade.
Nothing we do to try to "make up" for these lost moments will suffice, truly but we're doing our best as parents to hope we can ensure they know they are special and their 2020 class is special too. #elco #ecr #classof2020 #seniors
