Story time: ⠀⠀ After a long winter and longer (or at least it feels like it) quarantine (still practicing social distancing, but with a little more freedom!), I cannot TELL YOU how excited I was for this past weekend. ⠀⠀ From Wednesday evening to Sunday evening, I got to do one of my favorite things: photograph NINE different families and babes. ⠀⠀ Then, Wednesday night, I got sick you guys. ⠀⠀ Real, real sick. ⠀⠀ Good LORT I was miserable. I had to cancel daycare, set up doctor visit, arrange childcare for my own kids (who were freaking SAINTS), and religiously downed painkillers every 3.5 hours. When I got back from the doctor’s office, with negative strep and mono tests, and a phone number to Eli Lilly’s testing center, stuff got real, real fast. ⠀⠀ I had to postpone EVERYTHING, drive my sick and stiff booty downtown to have my brain stabbed at, and it SUCKED. Can I say that on here? It sucked. ⠀⠀ You know what didn’t suck? My daycare parents, who didn’t add to my guilt for closing, but instead, asked how they could help. My clients, who took everything in stride and all cheered me on with a “get better!”. My kids, who helped each other get breakfast and stood in the doorway to tell me all the thoughts that passed through their little brains. My husband, who brought me all the pedialite and cleaned the house, top to bottom. ⠀⠀ The best part? That negative covid result. Even better? Antibiotics, which had me in tip top shape in less than 48 hours. The BEST BEST BEST? ⠀⠀ I get to see alllllll your faces, take amazing pictures, and hop right back on the horse 🐴. ⠀⠀ Clients, if you haven’t heard back from me about booking (or rebooking) your session, I promise, you’ll hear back in the next couple days!
