Next up on the top ten centers list is Domantas Sabonis. After having somewhat a breakout last season, Sabonis has had his real breakout this year and has been the best player on the Pacers who are comfortably in the playoffs. He wasn’t thought of as much when he was brought to Indiana in the Paul George trade, but he’s proved everyone wrong-
It’s pretty interesting that Sabonis is playing so well in today’s NBA. He doesn’t really shoot outside of the paint, so a lot of his points come from post ups and good positioning down low. Also, he gets 3 offensive rebounds a game which is great because it gets him put backs. He’s also a surprisingly good passer and that’s the reason he’s been so successful. With five assists per game, he creates offense for his team from the post which is very interesting and helpful. He doesn’t play too much defense but other than that he’s a very solid player who’s had a great season-
