Whether your business is slow right now or temporarily closed, make sure your Google My Business listing is telling customers the latest information:
✅ Edit your business description to explain how your business has been impacted, such as a closure of your waiting area. Use this space to share information about any extra precautions you’re taking, such as implementing a no-contact key drop or additional disinfecting of steering wheels and door handles.
✅ Create posts in Google My Business and in your social media accounts to further explain and demonstrate these steps you’re taking.
✅ Review your listed hours of operation, particularly if yours have changed.
✅ Double-check the basics, like your business name, address, phone number, website, and business category.
✅ Consider the Products option, to feature the specific products that you offer right now.
✅ See if it’s time to update your photos, but don’t use stock photography or text overlays. Include your logo (square), a cover photo, and both exterior and interior shop photos.
✅ Check for questions that need to be answered, in addition to reviews that are awaiting response.
