  • Can you believe there’s an ancient fortress on this huge rock formation in Sri Lanka? The next day we climbed thousands of steep stairs to get to the top of it, but it was really cool to get a view of it from a distance. 🍃

  • So much of Europe feels like you’re living in a real life fairytale, I can’t wait to get back and explore more of it 🧚‍♀️. What’s the first place you’ll travel to when the borders open up?

  • I’ve been getting quite a few DMs about how I started out affording to travel straight out of college, so here’s my story for those of you who are interested 😊: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ✨I started out writing blog posts and SEO articles in college for different companies. I wrote about all sorts of things from credit scores to medical advice. Defintiely learned a lot of random things lol. I was able to save up about $5000 by the time I graduated though, which helped fund my first trip! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨Through my experience with writing blog posts and articles, as well as my experience with social media, I was hired as a “remote project manager” for a language learning app. It was a consistent monthly paycheck, but the best part was that I could work from wherever so I used that to fund my travels before I was able to make money through Instagram! ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨On my first trips throughout Asia and then Europe, I worked about 4 hours a day on my project management job, while also working to grow my account and take photos. Let me tell you, it was pretty exhausting. 😅 ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ About a year and a half ago, I officially quit my project management job to pursue a full time career in content creation and adventure photography. I regret not quitting sooner, but I was scared to give up a steady paycheck for the sometimes tumultuous life of a freelancer 😝 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀✨I now make a living fully through photography, whether it’s providing photos for brands to use in their marketing materials or for me to promote a brand or tourism board on my account. It defintiely has its ups and downs, which has become very apparent during this pandemic, but it has been such an amazing, wild journey. I wouldn’t give it up for anything 💕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ I know that was a long read haha, but hopefully it answered some questions 😊.
