Strawberry sauce Ingredients 1) unsalted butter 2) strawberry jam(opt) 3)15-20 finely and roughly chopped strawberries 4)castor sugar/brown sugar/powder sugar/jaggery for sweetening Recipe 1) on a low to medium flame,add 4tbsp unsalted butter and let it heat for 30-45 secs 2)now add finely chopped strawberries and increase flame to medium and keep stirring for 3-5 mins 4)now for sweetening add 2-3 tbsp sugar/jaggery and keep mixing 5)after a minute or 2,add 5-6 tbsp strawberry jam and keep mixing(opt) 6) cook while stirring constantly for 4-6 mins 7)take off flame and let it cool and store in the fridge 8)now you can use this on toasts,desserts like ice cream,muffins,cake,biscuits, biscotties, croissant filling or simply decorating food plates to make it look more inviting Note 1) you can puree the sauce if you don't like strawberry chunks after sauce has cooled down 2) you can increase quantity if sugar/jaggery of you don't find strawberry jam according to taste
